Happy Birthday Levi!

Our baby is ONE YEAR OLD!!!! We can hardly believe it. This was easily the fastest, most amazing year of our life. Thank you to all those that have followed our blog over the last year and a special thanks to those that called/texted us today to wish Levi a happy birthday. And yes he did enjoy his birthday cake!

We were on our way to the zoo and got a wonderful birthday card from our church's kid ministries leadership team, very thoughtful (thank you all those that sent us cards as well!)

We let Levi open his presents after he officially turned ONE at 7:51 pm. He got his very own laptop and cell phone, as well as, a collection of quality snacks.

Well, the first year is behind us. We look forward to many many more and will keep you updated along the way. Our Mischievous Little Man!

This was the week of Mischievous Levi! He is super fast, super smart, and super super curious. Jenny turned around to put his diaper in the Diaper Genie (a parental must-have) and found our little man sporting a pseudo milk-mustache a-la baby powder.

But why stop there... later in the week he enjoyed a nice handful of tissue paper.

This week we got the joy of watching the Dalach boys for a couple hours. Wow, sometimes I forget how small newborns really are!

Now I know that Levi loves to walk up to the TV and try to turn it on; however I had no idea how much he touched the screen! The finger/hand prints were almost too cute to wipe away (almost).


Another phenomenon of super Levi is his reach. Jenny thought the banana was well out of his reach. It was not. He loves being a big boy and feeding himself. There's really no harm other than the mess that will need to be cleaned up after... we just got to make sure he doesn't stain his clothes!

We had a free weekend! So, with a city of endless activities we decided to try to check out the Transformers 3 set... along with the rest of Chicago.

If you zoom in on this picture you can see a lot of the fake destruction and smoke... all in all, it was a nice day downtown filled with shopping, eating, and walking, and Levi napped.


If the banana wasn't enough, he also managed to grab Jenny's apple off the couch and finish it off (under her supervision).

Today Aunt Martha, Uncle Ed, Uncle Dave, and Aunt Leslie came to visit. It was a good time with great food at Candlelite (amazing thin-crust pizza) and a nice walk in Roscoe Village, which included a visit to this pet boutique where Levi got a little lovin' from one of the "owners."

Well, only one more week before Jenny and I are the parents of a one-year-old... AH! He is getting so big and is an absolute joy! God has truly blessed us with Levi. Thank you all for taking the time to take interest in our lives and have a wonderful last week of Levi's first year!

This weekend we made it down to Indiana to visit Marty and Ed, get haircuts, fix their computer (supposedly messed-up again... already), and EAT AT GAMBA'S... in the fancy wine room!

Back at the Norcutts' Levi tried to sneak up on Cleo.

Pray for us... we've started P90X, it's hard. Happy birthday Sammi, Bompa, Macs, and lil' William! What the heck is going on 9 months before July 13th?? Take care family and friends and have a great rest of the week!

What's different!?... we had a BABY!

That's right, another JonesPod anniversary is behind us (3 years)! And what!? We had a BABY! He's pretty awesome! Ok that's enough exclamations for the start of the blog...! Our actual anniversary was the 30th and Levi and Jenny spent the day at a little pool party with some of the women and children in our gospel community (Bible study). Levi loved the water and was well protected from the sun.

Levi has really taken off on his climbing phase. He is still very cautious, but loves to try getting to the highest point.

The kid has a ROOM OF TOYS, and he wants the one in the box... in the kitchen.

Welcome to the outside world, Urijah Paul Dalach! (FYI Uriah, without the "J" was one of King David's mighty men) He's super cute and looks just like his big brother, Cyrus.

We went down to the lake and watched the fireworks. Our lil' firecracker didn't see the flash coming.

Lastly, we wanted to show you the power of the dancing/singing bears. Mimi gave this to us last weekend because Levi loved it so much. Here's a small glimpse into the wonderful relationship Levi has with these two bears...
