Happy Easter!

Hey Tough Guy, you ready for Daddy to be home more?

Don't give me the wink face :) There's the excitement I was looking for!

That's right, busy season is over and after a few short days and some wrap-up it was time for some family R&R in Wisconsin. Levi is sporting the long-john casual look to start off my first morning at home a couple days before we head out.

First stop Romeoville, IL

Welcome to the world Charles Robert (not ours)!

Congrats John and Brittany! Then Oconomowoc, WI

Welcome to the world Cayden Thomas (also not ours)!

Congrats Carli and Steve!
So, outside of Elmo I didn't think there was anything that could tame the wild Levi...

Hello TRAINS! Maybe all he needed was more planes, trains, and automobiles...

And a solid workout at Nani and Papa's
A quick run...
A little skiing workout...

Then back to TRAINS!

We also got a chance to visit the YMCA and enjoy the family pool

Future Lady-Killer in the making

Back at the grand-rents' enjoying some raspberries

Elmo R&R

Finally getting Levi outside... precious moment with Mama.

Nature...

"He picks up the loose ball!"

"He's at the 30... the 20... the 10..."

"TOUCHDOWN!"

(Followed by a classy no-celebration)

My baby is getting so BIG!

Look at that serious face.

Fun with Papa!

Happy Easter! And yes, he looked even cuter with his socks and loafers. We spent most of the Easter weekend seeing friends and hanging out with Jenny's family (mine was in LA). We had an awesome time with Chris and Sarah and Carli and Steve (and Cayden), as well! Easter we spent with Bompa and Goggy (my mom's parents), my cousins (Zach and Andie) and my sister Sammi. What a blessed time we had. Thanks everyone!

We love him just a little...

Back home being goofy!

Just chillin' on Daddy's last day at home before he goes back to work

Well, I know I didn't go into all the details but we had an amazing time in Wisconsin with family and friends and were glad to see all of you that we did. Congrats to the new parents we saw and we wish everyone a wonderful rest of the week!

Our Life in Bags

Welcome back to Leviland! Only two weeks since the last post. Not bad for the end of tax season. Now that I've attempted to push the blame away from me.... back to Levi. He misses his Daddy so he decided to walk around in some of my work shoes AND is hair is getting SO long!

Just goofing around on the weekend! Here's our cute boy just hanging out :) Sporting the new Aunt Jane and Uncle Dave outfit Too much flash! Teething... (no, he does NOT still use a pacifier; it's a teether for molars) Jenny moves the furniture around for working out and she told Levi not to go on the couch... Translation - "Mama says please go on the couch!" Levi got out of Jenny's grasp after a bath and went straight for some ELMO TIME! Nakie....
Just chillin'
Levi found the jackpot... shhhhh.

(chocolate chips) Who are you hiding from?

Clearly we can see you :)
Boo!
Are you talking to your girlfriend?
Levi likes to play "Nuh-nite" where he pretends to sleep in the pillows

"Nuh-nite"

"Nuh-nite"

And oh yeah... WE HAVE BED BUGS. It's easily one of the most disheartening things to know that your wife and baby are being bitten by parasites.

We had to place ALL of our clothes, drapes, couch covers, bedding, plush toys, towels, etc. in plastic bags to be laundered. Here's the clean laundry we've amassed so far:

I won't point any fingers as to how we got them, but long story short our neighbors moved out two Sundays ago, I was able to find the best exterminator in Chicago the following week, and they were able to come on Monday. Plus we also found Chicago municipal code stating it is our landlord's responsibility to pay for the extermination (the reason we couldn't get this taken care of sooner). God is good! We're 48 hours sans bites and grateful that the Lord has provided us with awesomely supportive friends and family as we clean our clothes and trust God to keep our home bug-free as we prepare to move in June.

Here are about 1/2 of the bags we've got stacked around our apartment:

Sad news aside, who needs an NFL season when we've got the champ right here! Here's Levi sporting my championship belt from winning our fantasy football season this past year! Packers Super Bowl Champs, Win both my fantasy leagues...

Could life get any better...? I submit that it cannot!

(Thanks for indulging my shameless belated excitement) Well, that's all. Big shocker, our life is complicated. Only a handful more days left of busy season and then PARTY TIME!!!! And by party time I mean sleep in, clean-up poopy diapers, and make sure my prego is super cared for :) But in all seriousness I am looking forward to hanging out with my pod more. Thanks for the patience this past busy season faithful followers, even those that complained about the time between posts.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." ~Proverbs 3:5-6
