Happy Memorial Day!

It's moving week! Bags, boxes, tape, and Elmo! Can you spot Levi? We were a little concerned Levi would have a tough time with the transition and the moving process, but so far so good. He's adapted to his environment.
We had an amazingly productive weekend thanks to Nani and Papa and Auntie Sammi. Jenny's dad was uber-helpful getting us organized and organizing our storage unit "belongings." Jenny's mom and Auntie Sammi were fantastic and watched Levi as we packed and RE-DRIED ALL OUR CLOTHES!!! Thanks bed bugs... no coming to our new home!
Memorial Day was hot but wonderful. We took three walks, including playing at the park and walking around near our new home. Levi loved running around the courtyard in front of the military prep school and playing at the park.

That's all folks. We're back to packing and enjoying our last few nights in Rogers Park. Please pray for our transition and that no bugs join us in Edgewater.

To our country's fallen soldiers: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You will never be forgotten. May the LORD bless all your loved ones who carry on your memories!

Bye Bye Bed Bugs... HELLO New Home!

Welcome to the NEW JonesPod. God has found us a new home. We looked at nearly 20 apartments and condos throughout northern Chicago. Then, on the advice of a friend we just started walking the neighborhoods we liked and the FIRST place we saw a posting for was this place. Talk about stepping aside and letting God guide you. So, we're off to Edgewater, about 2 miles south of where we currently live. It's a few blocks from the grocery store, the park, the beach, and my bus to work (cuts 20 minutes each way).

I'll post more pictures after we move in... in 2 WEEKS! FYI - it's the garden unit, not the whole place :)

In the mean time...guess what... LEVI IS CUTE and loves chocolate!
(hanging out at the Hershey's Store)

Levi has a shoe fetish...

Boots!

Or Sandals...

Levi was cold.
(No, I didn't gain 50 pounds in my neck and lose all my hair - just a bad angle)

Blueberries!

Yum!

Daddy shoes!

Thank you all for the prayers during our home search. We're super excited about our new home and the opportunities God has for us in Edgewater. Now we just need prayer that we (with God's help) do all we can to prevent bringing bed bugs into our new home. Have a great weekend everyone and God bless!

Just Poopin' - You know how I be!

Life just isn't complete without some quality play-dough time. Levi is just starting to get to that point where he can do "activities" and some hands-off play time. He's still super social and loves to know where we are and that we're interested in his current status, but he's gotten better about "venturing out" within our home :)
What can I say, the kid is adorable and getting SO big!
We had the exterminators in again yesterday; Levi helped us with some cleaning this weekend.

All in all it was a pretty simple week. I was home most days by 6pm, left my computer at work and just had some good times with the pod. We also got to watch the Dalach boys Friday night. Urijah and I did some serious bonding...

Jenny was having "false" labor on Sunday, so I had her rest as much as possible. Therefore I was in charge of meals and as a result Levi had a hard time with the portions I cut for him... BEAUTIFUL AND WELL-MANNERED!

This past weekend ended on a high note as we got to spend Sunday night (and Monday night for that matter) with Jenny's Aunt Dru. Good times all around! Levi's goofy face sums up the evenings.

Well, thanks for stopping by for our surprisingly simple and uneventful week. And now that you've made it to the end and are still wondering what the title is all about... it's from one of our favorite Office episodes (watched it again this week). Google it and try to watch it or at least check out the script from that scene. HILARIOUS! Anyways, Jenny is super-prego and tired and Levi is crazy, but other than that life is good. If you could however keep us in your prays this week as we look to finalize our search for a new home and move in the next few weeks we would really appreciate it. God bless you all and have a wonderful week!

Happy Mothers' Day!

Sometimes after a tough day the Jones boys just need some R&R... watching Elmo! To be perfectly honest I didn't think I was this into it but come on Dorthy is so knowledgeable and imaginative!

Well, two weeks ago was ROUND 2 of the bed bug spraying and in the interest of "keeping it real" we're pretty disheartened and have a hard time finding rest at home or when we go to sleep, but by God's grace things are getting better and I'm the only one that has been bitten in the last 10 days (and only once)! Also, I hunted down the %&$# that bit me and smashed him proudly! Living out of bags and keeping things away from walls for spraying...
Ahhh... a little better. Good times...
Home again, kind of.
My baby's room!
Please Lord keep them out of here... So, back to our sweet boy now that I've "kept it real."

ALL ELMO, ALL THE TIME!
"Just rollin' in my tent!"
This is what happens when I'm in charge of the pajamas...

"Born to be WILD!"

"Hey!? Where'd you come from Alex?"

"My Mama says no hitchhikers.. no matter how cute."

Gazing out over Lake Michigan

Congrats to Rob and Janel on the birth of their third child, Eoin! He's super cute and he gave us the chance to watch his older siblings Aiden and Isabel overnight!

May the force be with you...

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY!

We got the lovely chance to hang out with Sammi (my sister), Aunt Martha and Uncle Ed (Jenny's), Aunt Leslie and Uncle Dave (Jenny's), and John Jr. and Sr. (Jenny's brother and Dad, respectively). It was a wonderful day filled with whiny breakfast in bed, yummy lunch and Levi dancing, time by the pond, and lots of fun! Thanks all, we have a wonderful day!

Checking out the fish with my boy :)Here's a video I forgot to post at Easter... dancing fun!

(Please forgive me Levi; you're just too darn cute!)

Thanks for checking in everyone and Happy Mothers' Day to all the moms out there! I hope you all had a wonderful day and felt loved, because you are. Have a great week everyone and please keep us in your prayers as we search for a new home (big shocker) and lean on God for direction and focus. AMEN!
