What's better than a face full of turkey sandwich? How about a face full of TheJonesPod Blog! And with that sad attempt at humor let's get into it. Last week was it for my paternity leave and I couldn't have asked for nicer weather. We were at the park at least twice a day and Jenny was feeling much better this week and was able to join us at the park most days (with Tigue of course). A quick shout-out and side note thank you to all the families and individuals from MissioDei that have provided us with meals these last two weeks. You have all been an amazing blessing to us and look for your Levi-funny pic thank you's in the near future (see above). Also, Tigue is doing very well and growing very fast. It looks like he's going to be MUCH more of a chunker than Levi was :)
(Levi isn't actually asleep; he's faking)
Jenny's rents came into town this Saturday and were a huge blessing. Food, relief, adult conversation, and another Elmo video for Levi. The image below is a RARE find; Levi typically doesn't want anyone near him when he's watching TV... I believe his Nani tried to tickle him and moving towards Papa was the furthest away from her he could get :)
After TWO WEEKS of the same park it was time for a change of scenery. There's another sweet park on the beach about five blocks away from us. Levi LOVED the new park!
Static-Head
Tigue (aka Munchy Moo) enjoying some R&R at the park in the sling
Our little cautious one is getting braver each day...
(and very sweet)
The water was super cold but that didn't stop Levi from going right in. This was definitely one of those situations where as parents you literally are there to keep your kid from killing himself.
Another great view down lakeshore
Now I apologize for not getting any good apartment shots. We're unpacked but it's not quite how we want it yet, so stay tuned. However, Tigue is super cute so here he is!
The nickname Munchy Moo is a Jenny creation. Munchy - because he is always hungry. Moo - because (I think, Jenny is asleep and can't verify) it has the alliteration effect and ends in "oo" like Levi's nickname Boo Boo. And now Levi calls the pacifier a "munch" so the nickname works full circle!
Thanks again for checking in. We had a wonderful two weeks together as a family and the fact that I didn't want to go back to a job that I enjoy speaks to that. Thank you to all the visitors, callers, facebook commenters, letter writers, blog followers and prayers. Your presents, words, thoughts and time are much appreciated. Have a great week!
